Smile Pypes 304 Stainless Steel Muffler-Delete Axle-Back (05-10 GT)

Anyone purchased this ? I am just wondering what the input would be on having this over the stock exhaust ? I am looking for a nice roar :P

It'll be loud, but you still have cats so it won't be end of the world. I haven't heard this system personally, but it would be similar to the straight through resonator style systems which are pretty poppy.

I'm looking at the same setup. What axleback would you suggest for a nice sound @ idle that will turn heads? Currently I have Magnaflow and I'm not please, way to quiet...do you think the pypes system will fit the bill? Have you heard the mid-muffler setup in person?

Also wanted to mention that I'm looking into the FRPP Hot Rod Cams so I'm wanting an exhaust that will compliment them...

The 4.6L seems to become even quieter at idle then stock on many systems, even ones that are extremely loud when you get on it. Your best bet to get a louder exhaust sound at idle is going to be an O/R midpipe combined with a resonator/straight through type system like the Borla Stinger, the LoudMouth, or the Pypes Mid-muffler system or muffler delete catback system.

How do you get rid of the check engine light after installing the o/r mid pipe? Can my Xcal3 tuner take care of that? Sorry for so many questions, finally got the money to replace these magnaflow and trying to make sure I'm happy with my next purchase!

No problem at all. The X3 can get rid of the CEL, but you must contact the company you purchased it from to edit your tune to accommodate for the O/R pipe.

Thanks,

Nick

Just the delete? It shouldn't require one. Only if you change to an O/R mid-pipe or some high-flow cats.
