Hi,

been reading up on the 2011 #8 piston fiasco of the 5.0's.

Has the issue been resolved and have they're been any increase in cases of piston #8 failures in the recent years?

There hasn't been any factual evidence about the cause of the few who had issues with their cylinder #8, unfortunately. Although, I haven't seen any cylinder 8 issues in quite some time on the forums or here at AM. Plus keep in mind that less than 1% of the 4v 5.0's actually had cylinder 8 issues. So needless to say it's a very rare occurrence.

Are there any limits to tuning 2014 Mustang GT's at this point or are the PCM's pretty much wide open for tuning (coming from DCX/Mopar world, where the PCM's are on lock down and need to be cracked!)

Does the BAMA tune limited warranty still exist for new customers?

The PCM's are all ready for tuning! We recently picked up a 2014 GT ourselves and are well into modifying it. There wasn't any big hurtles to get over for the '14's since they are identical to the '13's (which we have as well ).

Also, the Bama cylinder #8 warranty is still in effect for new '14 owners who have only purchased a Bama tune (other companies void this warranty). So, you're good to go if you'd like to see your Mustangs full potential!
