Question on wheel and tire packages
#11
After a few searches online, I didn't come across an accurate weights for those regular OEM 19" wheels. Although, they're a .5" skinnier than the Brembo wheels and having a heavier casting. So, I'd expect the weight to be barely heavier than the Brembo wheels. Which is still lighter than the AMR's you're interested in!

No big deal though. The AMR's are even lighter than the Brembo wheels, so you still make out in the end!
Hawk HPS pads will add a nice touch to your braking if you're looking to upgrade. I'm assuming this is a street car only or do you Auto-cross it often? If you're into Auto-cross, there's the HP Plus pads for confident braking in extreme heat.

I got a beater 80s Mustang that I didn't want to put a lot of money into...put a set of Vanderbilt Hi-Fly 201s on it. Pretty inexpensive tires from SimpleTire.com; you get em online, then they ship em to a local affiliate for installation.

Awesome. Thanks. Just had a quick question. Can the Bama tuner fix speedometer errors caused by tires that are larger or smaller than stock? I have 245/45/19 tires but I wanted to get new wheels with 255/45/18 tires which are 0.7" smaller in diameter than the 19's.

Absolutely! Any of our Bama custom tunes have the ability to recalibrate your speedo for new tire sizes. Do you already have a tuner or are you just interested in one? I'm also assuming you're aware of our free tunes for life program?
Sorry for my delayed response. I didn't realize you posted back on the 10th. Thanks for the bump!

*FYI for anyone reading along- only '99 to present Mustang speedos can be calibrated with tuners*

Haha I have a similar problem!
I definitely recommend picking up a custom tuner than. You'll be able to correct your speedo, but even more than that- experience better throttle response and increased HP/TQ throughout the power range. A custom tune is by far one of my favorite mods for any model Mustang. You truly don't know what you're missing and you try it out for yourself!
Shoot me a PM if you have any questions about our tuners or Bama custom tunes!
