If Raxiom did come out with one of these that worked on non Sync cars that retained all of the features and was able to come in pretty close on the price as the Sync version, I'd jump on it pretty quick!

Did anybody have any issues installing this in a premium mustang with a 6 cd changer? If not, does everything else work properly except the CD player?

The camera quality is excellent. I realize why they can't put distance lines in it but without them you really have to use your normal distance judgment via mirrors to get a better perspective of where the rear bumper really is.

USB has no current use I believe. Update come via the SD card.

I bought one of these about 5 months ago from AM and had it professionally installed on my 2013GT. I had to have my car serviced (engine) from Ford and when I got it back 3July the backup camera was blurry even after I cleaned the lens and it took 30-45 seconds for the screen to turn on which was odd. As of today 8July the screen does not turn on at all after it worked this morning. I called American Muscle and they are shipping me a new one which is good... it just sucks that I'm not skilled enough to do the work so I have to come out of pocket to get it swapped out. Only thing Ford said they did was disconnect the battery to work on the engine.....so they cannot take blame I guess. Anyone else have this kind of issue with the screen not turning on at all or a all the sudden blurry backup camera? AM said it was a fried motherboard or something of that nature.

I thought I read somewhere that this unit will not work if you have the CD changer. Not sure why that would make a difference. I'd be willing to give up the changer for this unit, since I listen almost exclusively to my iTunes from my iPhone.

my husband has instaled the raxiom navigation system in my 2014 mustang
and everything works great except she does not talked to me. so i called american muscle where i bought the system and they said i nedded to update my card. so, i did that and still no sound. anybody have any clue what i can do to it

After American muscle sending a new unit. ... the old one was unplugged then plugged back in and it worked so it needed to be reset so unless you want to take things apart and have to do this avoid unplugging your car battery. ...Ford had to though to fix the issue with my engine. If your still having an issue call American muscle to exchange it.... they helped me with no problem.

The unit does not have any "speaking" functionality that I am aware of.
