I won't have a whole lot of mod money for a few months since I just bought the car Thursday and my SO would kill me, so money for some suspension/exhaust parts would be awesome. I'd be all over an intake/tune but I probably shouldn't mess with the warranty so soon..

I can't remember if I entered this or not! I'd probably put it towards a wheel and tire package. Or a rear seat delete and GT500 spoiler.

Definitely. There's a slew of great tuners out there and Bama is in house for us.

I've been here for close to 5 years now and I've been a guinea pig for their beta tunes on our project cars and work with them closely. I'll add that I'm not a tuner but I have a pretty good feel for cars.

The X4 Tuner is hands down the way to go just based on its ease of use along with the functionality of the device itself.

I hate to talk up the tunes/device as I have a 4.6l so I'll let some of the customers do the talking. Check out some reviews below.

in regards to the Exhaust Options that's going to be a little more difficult as these systems will sound a little different.

You'll see some are deletes like the "Mid-Muffler Pypes" whereas the Flowmaster Force II for example has a chambered muffler.

With out without a muffler is going to drastically change the tone and more often than not our customers will shoot for a chambered setup in order to cut down on unwanted feedback (snap, crackle, pop) and rasp.

Take a look around below and let me know if you have any questions!

This car is a project so my wife and young son and I can enjoy spending time together while I still get my gear head fix. Sure could use the extra money to get the suspension taken care of sooner, than later!

Got to agree on the Bama tuner...I got the tuner & JLT CAI and am running the 93 race tune and it was like night and day. The car gets when you hit the gas now instead of waiting for it to go. I started with the race tune and like it so much, i haven't even tried the other two tunes and don't see much reason to try them.

Moos - I'm hearing you loud and clear on that and aren't they all projects?

I'm still trying to get my gear-head fix on as well and I'm even starting to mod my truck!

I've had an '01 Bullitt and I'm pretty well versed on the NewEdge platform so if there's ever anything I can lend a hand with I'm a PM away or any of our Mustang experts are happy to give you an unbiased answer over the phones.

One of the greatest things about working here (aside from being a guinea pug for mods) is that we're not commission based and we'll definitely tell you if we think you wont benefit from one part/one brand over the other!

Hey Ucinn - I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying your Bama tunes as much as I do.

Let me know if there's anything I can lend a hand with as always.

Happy modding.

Iv'e been hearing something about a V2 tune for V6s. sounds promising. Also I was thinking about trying to piece together and exhaust system. I know someone with a mac pro-chamber and really like the way that sounds compared to and x or h pipe. any opinions?

They're pretty good! If you have any questions about them I would have to direct you to the mad scientists over at Bama!

In regards to the Exhaust there's a variety of setups you can go with.

If you're looking to save some cash there's plenty of Axle-Back Options and it's no surprise that I'm a fanboy of Flowmasters American Thunder for the money.

When you get into something with an X or an H pipe (switching from your factory Y) you're inherently going to pick up a lot more rasp and snap, crackle, and popping on decel.

Some guys like this, some guys do not. One of the great things is that you can essentially tailor the tone of your exhaust based on the type of system that you're after. Take a look below at the many options and if you'd like to jump to that patch just click the picture:

So there's many there right? You're going to see True Duals, Mid-Mufflers, Competition Styles, etc.

What I want our customers to know the most is that if you're getting into a system that has little to no mufflers or restriction the overall tone/sound will be VERY loud!

I'm really fond of Flowmaster because I've had their parts on 2 Mustangs and they'll likely find their way onto my truck. Most if not all of their reviews are really positive too.

If you're after more noise then I would take a look at the Pypes True-Dual along with taking a listen but there are some negative reviews on the kit.
