Talking NEW Member needs HPipe NoCat Mod

hey guys!

New member - long time stang lover. Have a stock 08 GT I am just now getting to have fun with. Received an HPipe NoCats and looking for a good mechanic that can install. Shops wont touch it obviously, so naturally I came here looking to make a friend and hopefully get my damn part installed!

Let me know what this would cost to install too - thanks!

Anyways, look fwd to meeting more of you guys!

You can do that your self with a few hand tools and jack stands. Shouldn't take more than an hour to do. As long as you got an h-pipe that's made for shorty/factory headers and is a direct fit.

I was considering doing it myself but I really don't need anymore "projects" around the house if you know what I mean. Would be worth it to me - to just pay someone that could use the extra money and then I won't have to deal with it my first time in my driveway. I think the peace of mind is well worth it too

I am in North Phoenix near Tatum and the Loop 101. Have no problem driving up to 30 miles or so. Can even leave the car for most of the day if I need to.

Well in that case, I'm sure just about any performance shop in Phoenix will do it.. I don't have any specifics as I don't live there. But just google auto performance in your area.

no auto shops will touch this. removing the cats is a non-no by state law but then again when does that stop a mustang enthusiast.

I have called 4 auto-shops, 2 from a really good friend that knew the mechanic. Unfortunately, all shops have told me the same thing; they can't do this mod. Will have to do on my own.

Anyone feel like making some extra money

Ha, that's weird.. Most regular auto shop wont do it but a lot of performance shops will if they're making an "off road/track" car.. It's the legal loophole.

Give RNR Performance a call.. They build engines, see if they can do the install..

Just called RNR Performance - they don't work on late model mustangs. I'd prefer to not go to AMP

Just made an appointment at FoxBodyPerformance.com
They can get me in today - and quoted $80 for the install. Boom - I like what I have here.

Anybody have experience with this shop?
