Default Installing amp on mach 460

I'm adding a coustic amp, and a Kicker solobaric sub to the trunk of my 04 GT. I'm installing myself, but am a bit confused. Would someone mine explaining where and how to splice into the the rear speaker wires? It would be greatly appreciated.

whats up man, by splicing i assume your talking about putting an sni 35 in for your rca connection. there are several line converters, but you will need one with an adjustable gain. let me know if we are on the same page before i go in depth

The guy at the stereo store told me I didn't need a line-out converter. He said just splice an RCA cable in with the speaker wire

Okay, I went ahead and got a line-out converter anyways. I think it's like a P35 or something like that, it does have an adjustable gain. So where do I hook this bad-boy up?

my cobra is the first car ive ever owned with a killer stereo i didnt install myself, ive done many installs on everything ive owned, but ive always used an aftermarket head unit. although i did install an amp and box in my friends 03 accord, and you need to get what they tell me is a black box, just splice into the factory wires at the speaker (any speaker, but i would use one on the rear shelf), dont cut them, just strip the sheathing off the wires and solder the wires onto it, plug into the amp via the rca jacks. I would strongly suggest using a solid gold fuse holder for your battery power on the amp, because obviously gold is a better conducter of electricity than metal.
