Default RE: Best Aftermarket Navigation

Pioneer's ipod hook up is terrible compared to the Alpine's. It's slow and painful.

I think the Alpine's Navi is not as good as the Pioneer's. Alpine freezes sometimes and u have to manually refresh it or just wait a few miles for it to refresh itself.

Apline doesn't have an EQ, you have to buy it separate for 500 bucks.

The Bluetooth features both suck apparently on both.

Some main differences, imo.

I want something that is more impressive with the ipod. And the Apline's navi is separate so u can always get one when a better one comes out... So I'll go with the Alpine. I can't live without my ipod and my 3000+ songs. The horror stories with the Pioneer and its ipod features turned me away instantly..

I have a question, could you use the Alpine wire link instead of the Pioneer wire box in the Pioneer unit? If so, maybe then the ipod would be faster.
