Default total newbie question about shaker 500....

this is a total newbie question, but i want to take out my shaker 500 in my 07 v6 and replace it with a kenwood in-dash dvd. i went to best buy and circuit city, and they both told me i had to completely re-wire the whole car if i wanted to install an aftermarket deck. circuit city told me that i had to re-wire cause the rear speakers dont work with an aftermarket wiring harness. but my local stereo shop told me that wasnt true. so what im asking is, do i have to completely re-wire the speakers to make them work? or is this wiring harness gonna work with my in-dash dvd?

install bay for decades have been saying that about fords premium system but it normally is not true. I was told the same about my 94 gt and there is an easy work around once you know it. I am not familiar with the new models but I am willing to bet they are the same but different.

They're full off it. I swapped out the Shaker 500 for a Eclipse Navigation unit and it's using all the factory speakers including the subs. I ordered from crutchfield.com and they had the appropriate wiring harness. It was listed for an F-150 but worked fine. Give them a try.
