well i think i can get the 14.4 volts. maybe. i have 2 battery's...

anyways. if im not getting the right volts its no biggie, im planning on getting a different alternator soon snyways and upgrading the rest of my wires and stuff.

i have a differnt ? for you guys now. i built a box over the weekend, and built it perfectly, structure wise. i built it to the correct dimensions, its airtight. theres just one problem. the specs for the box are with the speaker in it, and my enclosure does not make it within the space requirements with the speaker in it.it only missses by about 100-200 cubic inches and the box is about 1760 in cubed and with the speaker in it is roughly 1400 in cubed. so how much bigger can POLYFILL make the box seem to the sub? i need about 1600 in cubed. will polyfill do it?

I am sorry that I have to point out that your sentence is funny. If you built it to the correct dimensions..............

anyway if you have the box built, what does it matter now what we say? stuff as much polyfill as you can in it and hope for the best......

well i built it within the specs that they stated, but they didnt state whether or not that was a loaded enclosure or empty. so i took it to my installer and he said that the box was slightly too small and i should try polyfill or else if that doesnt work scrap the box.

im just wondering if the stuff actually works.

and im just trying the idea of mixing them. ifit blows up in my face, it will take me 2 days to get a 10 and fix it.im just one of those guys who likes to do things out of the ordinary and experiment.

Your idea is not a unique and interesting expirement.

Your idea is a failure that many people have fallen captive to.

That is what ttocs and seight are trying to tell You.

Listen, don't try to argue Your point.

If You had as much knowledge about car audio as either of them do in their pinky, then You wouldn't have to ask such questions as these.

Do not mix and match brands or speaker sizes.

And another quick tip, the amount of drivers You use does not equal the amount of spl You can produce.

The amount of spl, or sq for that matter, is in the install, not so much the product.

This is about as retarded as a guy that once came into autozone when I still worked there is college.

He had 2 amps and 3 subs all of different sizes brands, power ratings, etc. He had them all blaring and it sounded like complete doodoo, but he thought it was awesome becuase it made his early 90's geo metro vibrate like crazy.

This guy was also bright enough to install his fuse right next to the amp instead of under the hood in line right off the battery....

Lane,

LISTED TO TTOCS, SEIGHT, AND HISS. They are 1000000000000000000000000000% Correct and have more knowledge then you could ever imagine.

I leave the forum for a couple weeks to buy the wife a new car, work on my mustang, and take some time off work, and the tards invade...... ARG!!! At least i got to get all the aftermarket stereo equipment out of the wife's old car...

no need to call names now. I had a couple of projects that I entered into with good intentions and got little more use then learning a lesson from as they did not end the way I planned.

As I said, throw the fill in it and see what ya got.......
