probably an 1800 dollar speaker setup but it will be the best ever, ZR 8's just came out, they are hard to find
The best ever huh? That's a pretty strong statement for some JL 8" midbass drivers, "full jl Zr speakers" and a little dynamat.

Sorry, but I'm not JL audio's biggest fan, I just think you can get better stuff for less money if you do your research.

i know there has to be someone on here that has replaced the door subs for their shaker500, when they replaced the subs themselves. what did you use, and where does it go?

there has not been anyone with a newer body style that has posted anything with instructions that I have seen. If you do it you would be the first and make alot of friends.

JL is overpriced and over hyped.

You will need an amp + wiring for any Memphis audio kit.

And if You want good sound, You need to spend good money.

I know, i hate being the guinea pig. i do have an appt with a company here in fl (ultimate audio) they might be a little high on the price scale, but i believe they would do a good job. i'll keep ya posted.

JL is overpriced for sure, but name one speaker uner $500 better than a ZR. the answer would be MB Quart... but they dont make 8's. i am die hard JL fan, because i dont let price dictate my speaker choice. if you want quality dont stray from alpine, kicker (maybe) and of coarse JL.
kicker makes a 8", its a CVT though (which is one of its base subs)

I would like to know as well if JL makes an 8' sub that will fit in the door?

I was told that it was to shallow to replace the stock 8' subs...however that sound's like b.s.
