I had some kicker solobarics S12L5's for about three years and have never blown em yet despite alot of ppl tellin me that they blow coils fast. I had them powered on a Ultralinear amp that was 900x2 watts rms and 1600x2 max (IIRC) but that thing was a beast.

I feel u on that. i went thru several amps and never had a problem with the actual sub. Im about to hook em up to a hiphonics brutus and see how they hold up but then again I had them for soo long Im just waitin for them to blow but they wont and Im not gonna push them too hard until I purchase the new models and pump them things til they do go or maybe give them to my girl. IDK yet but i may just give em to her cuz I know she wont push em but its time for an upgrade. any suggestions??? Not no low market stuff cuz im actually building my car for show so I am about to spend some cash this summer.
