Well the only question i have really is how do i get the old one out on the 2004 GT? The head unit im installing is the kenwood DDx512. Has anyone installed one yet and have any advice when installing one. Oh and i also have the mach audio setup, i dont know if replacing the factory head unit will mess any of that up.

in an auto to take it out, u just pop off the peice around the shifter (have to unplug the cigarette lighter) then the peice around the stereo will pop out(have to unplug defoster ect.) then 2 screws hold ur old stereo in take then out and then unplug the harness and ur old stereo is out. don't know abot mach system as i don't have one.

easy to replace the stereo tho, so good luck

if you pull the deck out, and take it to your local shop they can match the hrns up for you. There is a topic in the forum sticky on how to get rid of the turn-on POP and if you need help tweeking it to make it sound good let us know and we can walk you through it. Page 2 of my cardomain page covers the mach system. Yours is the same altough the hrns's are different.

I think the main problem im having is I brought the harness from Best Buy but when i looked at the back of the headunit and the harness i got, the wires from harness and headunit dont all match. Dont know if that is supposed to be like that. And im scared ima break the console area by my shifter tryin to remove it. Oh and its a manual not auto dont know if that makes a difference
