Default Hooking up bazooka tube

My dad is giving me his bazooka tube that came with his truck to put in my 02' mustang. I believe it's 200W. Never planned on putting subs or anything in it, but they're free, and I don't mind. I bought the car with an alpine stereo, it's subwoofer ready. I havn't had a chance to look at the bazooka tube or the amp but all I know is I don't know how to install it.

Can anyone give me a basic understaning of what hooks up where? I'm planning on putting the amp and the bazooka tube in the trunk.

EDIT: got some details, my head unit is an Alpine CDA-9847, the amp is an (4-Chan) Alpine 3527V, and all I know about the bazooka tube is it's made by SAS. I believe the amp and tube are from the mid 90's maybe? It still works fine, will it work with my stereo?

I'm not a big tech person, but it seems the bazooka tube hooks up to the amp and the amp hooks into the stereo.

Any help with this one?

you need an amp wiring/install kit. it is a set of wires (1 big wire run from battery + cable to amp main power. another wire- ground- that you run from amp to base metal of trunk under carpet and screw in there. and a wire you need to run- blue wire- from the amp to the cd player wiring harness and tap into the blue wire there for sound. then run the speaker wire form the amp to the sub. + meets + and - meets -) thats it.

i have 2 rockford fosgate 10" subs and i velcroed my box into my trunk and it doesnt move even when i do occasional donuts in the rain at empty parking lots. mount the amp flat or with air able to run over it. i folded one of my rear seats down and mounted my rockford punch amp there with velcro so air flows over it and it doesnt overheat that way. if it doesnt have air circulation, amp will overheat and the subs stop playing.

Thanks for the advice, can I take the wiring from my dad's truck or will i need new ones? Also, think there will be any problem since the amp and bazooka tube is older?

you can use his wiring form the truck if the wires are long enough... good luck

Shouldn't be a problem, just be sure to put the bazooka in a 'corner' of the trunk. They sound great if placed properly.
