I went to walmart and bought a whole role of fleece it was like 30 -40 bucks.....And I still have a ton of it sitting around after. I want to say it might have been 40- 50 yds I bought overkill but, I needed alot for a few things I was building....I still have about 25-30 yards sitting around....But it works very well.

One thing I want to say is it just looks very out of place in the side pics with the door open...

Criticisms cool, I can handle it

It was my first adventure with fiberglass and learned a lot about its application and working. If I could have made an easier frame work to deal with I would have but the way I wanted to build it seemed easiest to just form it to what I had.

I don't catch my hand on anything in there. The panel pulls far enough away that I can get in there just fine....maybe the pics make it look really tight in there....

I like the look of being able to see a little of it...and I don't think most people will even notice it once I get the delete done. And that is how I wanted it. It may catch some people's eye and other's won't even notice.

But it is sort of a security thing as most people wouldn't think of subs being there. Also, if the top is up (or even if it was down), that is going to be really tough to steal since it is molded right to everything in that area.

Thanks guys!

CONSTRUCTIVE critisism.

Ahh this was your first glass project, I am sure you learned alot we all do. Fleece is a big deal in helping to make your initial stretches. As you noticed the woven matt doesn't like to stretch much. The biggest problem people have with fleece is that they do add enough resin as it soaks it up but that is why we use it. Once it sets as I said if you do your built up from the back it will help it to set to the wood, while not effecting the outside surface. You will have to attach the fleece to any surface that you want it to set to or as it cures it will pull away(as you found out). You can use a simple staple gun and small staples to hold it and it will save you from needing to fill holes on the edges, nobody likes that.

As you probably found out you spend hours getting the form ready and getting the final details ready so that the moment the resin it hit by the activator you have EVERYTHING you need with in arms reach.....
