Is it possible to install this inside of my console?

yes, it should fit fine, but depending on how far down the screen folds, the shifter may be in the way. I'm not really sure since my 2000 has 2 single-DIN slots, your 2002 has a double...

edit- by console, you mean where the radio is now right? not the armrest? lol

What does a 2001 have, a double din or 2 single dins?

pretty sure 01 has a double. 98% sure anyways. they changed the transmission 1/2 way through the 2001 model year, they may have changed the dash bezel too. not sure

the double din dash has a big stereo in it, with buttons underneath for trac control, defrost, and somethin else, the single din has a small radio above and a small cd player below it, in a seperate slot

it could have either. The front dash panel and a small portion of the underdash are different but you can swap them if you want.
