Default Rear view camera question

I picked up a Pioneer AVIC-X710BT. Its not installed yet and I'm thinkin of adding a rear view camera to it when I go in to get it installed. I havent bought one yet but was curious does it have to be a Pioneer Camera or can I buy one of the other universal cameras?

Crutchfield had this camera bundeled with a Boyo camera couple of weeks ago as a promotion. I didnt buy my unit from crutchfield but I take that as a sign that it can work with other universal cameras too.

Input and camera recomendations really appreciated.
