Default Help build my new system

Hey all,

I spend so much time commuting in my 2007 GT that I have decided to upgrade my sound system. I am looking for louder and cleaner sound with harder hitting base notes. My budget is up to 2k for the equipment with an extra 500 for install. Please recommend a good set up to suit my needs. Thanks in advance for the help!

Josh

*concerning bass* hard hits? memphis or jl audio. jl, when you get the higher end subs, tends to run quite a bit $$, and if you happened to want to spend money on a 12w7, you'd be more than satisfied, and one would rock your world on the right amp. if you want to go all door speakers and sub(s) then id recommend a 4 channel amp and only putting maybe 2 new 6x9's on the amp with subs. your stock shaker sound system will be fine doing the rest is my vote, because i have the mach 460 in my 04 mustang and i didn't put anymore wattage to my stock speakers, just subs, and it's nice.

i would recommend a nice dbl din radio also, your budget is totally doable

I did the radio, elemental designs e9.65i door speakers, 2 10s in the back, no rears at all, and a big PPI 4 channel.

My recomendation is get a dbl din radio maybe kenwood dnx6140. Get some 6.5 components for the doors, add sound deadner, ditch the rears, and a single quality 12 powered by a decent sized 4 channel would totally work.

What is ur expeirnce with car audio have you had systems before etc
