Okay, so my buddy helped me take my door panels apart. We actually removed the back half of the enclosed factory subwoofer chamber. We fiberglassed the inside of both pieces, then we siliconed them back together and used more figerglass where they join. The end result is a completely sealed chamber for my subs! I have a new set of CDT ef-80 8" subs I just installed. I listen to 90%+ rock music. I'm not trying to get real low with these, as I'm using a crossover and have a 12" sub in the trunk for the low notes. I installed CDT tweeters in my A-pillars and CDT 5.25" where the factory 6x8 were in the doors. No rear speakers. This is all powered by a DEH-P800PRS, in network mode, using the Auto-EQ and Auto-Time Alignment.
1) Do I stuff the sealed door chambers with polyester fill or not? And if so, how much do I use?
2) I purchased the CD-BTB200 BlueTooth adapter and got it to work prior to switching to Network Mode (3 way active crossover system) on my DEH-P800PRS. Now it doesn't work in Network Mode. I called Pioneer and they said, "Oh, correct Sir. You'll have to choose between Network Mode and BlueTooth."
Has anyone else figured out how to do this with this head unit?
