Default 8's in the doors or 12's in the trunk?

Here's my question. Would I get better bass(in a 2006 Vert GT) from good 8's in the door (Kicker Audio 8 Inch Woofers/Shelby) or Rockford 12 inchers (P2)x2 in the trunk? I know the 12's will play lower, but will better than stock 8's make up for the muffled sound of 12's in the trunk? I already have the 12's in the trunk, but have to make room for kids junk and they must go.

My thoughts of replacing the stock subs from the skipper 500 with the Shelby/kicker subs and dynamat for the doors, should be a big improvement over the stocks. But will it be close the the 12's in the trunk? I don't need the spoiler rattling of the 12's but would like deep, tight bass.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

i would try the doors first that way it dont kill your trunk space. the only thing im thinking abotu the doors is its still gonna rattle even with the dynomat and might make it sound bad

what kind of music do you like? 8s up front will never compete with a well powered 12 in the trunk, never........ You can always start with one 12 and as long as you get the correct amp add anothe one later.
