Default Upgrading premium to Mach 460 Question

I have a 1998 Mustang GT with Premium Radio Tape deck a buddy of mine Gave me The speaker deck out of a 1995 Mustang with Mach 460. So I started collecting the different speakers amp and wiring harness's. So I'm ready to go but I noticed the Mach wiring harness from the radio/cassett/tapedeck does not match the connection from the speaker deck. I,m sure this is because the Speaker deck is from a 1995 while the wiring harness from the radio is from 1998. SO THE QUESTION IS CAN I JUST CUT THE ENDS AND SPLICE THEM?

the mach and the standard radios have different harnesses. In order for you to get your buddy's deck to work, you will need to buy the amps(3) and the subwoofer enclosure which are both easy to find. The hard part to find is the wire harness that connects it all together, and then the door panels are different as well to accomodate the tweeter on top. I am willing to bet with the free deck, another $6-800 in factory parts and 5-7 hrs installing it all and you will have a perfectly stock mach 460 stereo. You will also have me and alot of others asking why you did this??????????

So would this be worth 150.00? As I understand The Mach 460 speakers by themselves are good quality. I don't think I could get a better stereo system for that amount. But I could be mistaken. So the question remains, Will the 98 Mach harness from the radio Interface with the 95 speaker/amp deck?

the mach speakers are just barely ok, barely but they are better then the stock crap.

are you saying buy the deck for $150 as that would be a BIG heck no you do not want that. IF you could get the deck, 3 different harnesses, the tweeter pods, door panels, door speakers and rear enclosure/speakers, I would still pass rather then spend the hours that will be needed to install it........
