ford used a high voltage input, and a strange impedence on the subs so if they are not installed right it will make the amp angry.

With a little tweeking, the mach system will sound much better then with the stock deck

Even though water ****ed my amps up (leak in roof, don't ask). I installed an Alpine HU and it sounded waaaay better than the stock HU. All I did was go to Best Buy and buy a Mach 460 wire harness. Take out the old HU, wire everything up and solder it and presto.. 30 minutes start to finish. Oh, also, my HU was a single deck so I did have to buy the faceplate thing. Something to note. Since that area is pretty much barren (empty), make sure the HU you buy has the ability to screw that little plastic piece into the back. It goes on a little slide rail on the faceplate piece so that the back of your HU is supported and doesn't lean backwards and jiggle around.
