Default need some help

so i bought the blackout tint from stangmods.com and it looks awesome
only thing is i cant drive at night now bc it cuts out so much light. i love the way it looks so i wanna try and get some hid's. only problem is idk what temp. i know that 4300k at 55w is the brightest i can get, but apparently the tint will make it brown it some. todd at retrosolutions told me that u sometimes have to go up to 8000k to get a decent looking light. so i would like to know if anyone has bought this tint from stang mods or one as dark as it and what kind of hid's they use. heres a pic of my tint for comparison:
