Default 88 GT mustang stereo question

I dont have the car here, so I am wondering has anyone ever put a double din into this? I am not worried about the trim ring I can fab that up but is there clearance for it?
I have an Eclipse DD and am debating instead of selling it keeping it to put into the car.
If anyone has do you have pics?

there is plenty of room in a fox for a double din. I have seen people take a newer style mounting kit(05-09) and modifying it to fit.

i have a double din currently in my 90 fox but it was a pain to get in because it was too deep and there is a mounting bracket under the dash in the back. i would stick with a single din.
