Default amp to speakers worth it?

Just wondering if it will help at all. Amp isn't anything special a 760watt pioneer amp and 4 6x8's I believe Alpine Type S's for speakers. It is a convertible so when the tops down and I want some music it has to be louder, but then my speakers start to distort with the bass on 0. Will wiring that amp to my speakers help fix this, what will it do? Not very audio savy sorry.

If your amp has a built in x-over, you can adjust the cut off, so your speakers wont distort from the bass

That is basically the amp I have except its 760 watts. I am not good with audio or wiring so I might just go to best buy and have them wire it up because I want to ditch my sub.

1000% yes.

Stay away from the 6x8's.

Buy yourself some comps on the internet. With a budget we can make recommendations.
