Question Sterio Seems to work but no theres no sound

Hey every1. I would really appreciate if some1 could help me out.

I have an 06 Mustang and i bought one of those 3 million color Underglow sets. 95 percent of the install went fine until i decided to try and hard wire the music sensor to the speakers.

I initially tried wiring the system to the boat speakers just to test everything out before i started tearing the car apart. Everything worked fine when i did this. (The lights beat to the music)

I then took off the back left speaker panel and hooked up the music sensor wires. I turned the kit on and the lights didnt work, they just turned on but didnt beat to the music like they did before. I tried readjusting the wires but still it didnt work.

(I dont know to much about car electrical. Everything i know is from trial and error.)

So at this point i wasnt sure why the lights werent beating to the music. I thought maybe it is because a cars electrical is much different then a boats. So to test it i grabbed a boat speaker and hooked it up directy to the back left car speaker.

It worked so i began to attach the music sensor cable to the boat speaker which is still connected to the car speaker. When i did this the audio stopped and hasnt worked since.

As of right now, the radio seems to be playing, it shows the disk track number and the time of the song but theres no audio playing through the speakers.

I checked all the small fuses under the hood and in the passenger kick panel.

From what im thinking, there are fuses somewhere else that i am not aware of or a relay is not working?

If any1 could help me it would be much appreciated.

the mach system uses speakers with strange impedences(8 ohms rating) to make it hard to swap componants out. By throwing a standard car/boat speaker that is normally rated for 4 ohms if you are lucky you just blew a fuse, if you are not then you blew your amp..........

Start checking fuses and check them all. It will take less time to pull and visually inspect each fuse then to try and figure it out through the manual.

Hey ttocs, thanks for replying.

Your probly right when it comes to me being unlucky. I checked all the fuses under the hood and in the kick panel. They all seem to be ok. I guess my amp is blown...

Ive booked an appointment to get it diagnosed at our local car audio shop today at 3.

Again, thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
