Question Looking for the best place to hide a sub in my 04 Mustang

Hey all, I am looking for a good place to put two 10's or 12's in my 04 mustang. I was thinking under the rear seats but there is a lot of foam under there and I wasn't sure if it would damage the speakers or cause the seat to sink if i take it out. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me an easier and better places to put them. Thanks!

Well a sub is pretty big, especially the subs armed with ICBM's! Might be near impossible to hide a sub in your car...it would crush your car!

yeah... I've wrestled with trying to hide my 12 inch sub and amp and the best place I've been able to come up with is just the old trunk

depending on how much you want to spend, have a custom case made and put the amp down in where the spare tire is kept (if you're ok with not having a spare)

Hmm. Sounds like an inside thing.

As far as the hiding of the Easter eg.. I mean subs and amp, why not drop down to one better sub rather than 2 and get a small amp. The alpine PDX series are very small class D amps that can be put virtually anywhere you can put a hard back dictionary. I have seen many people put them under the seats, which is very easy to do.

As far as the location of your sub, if you go with a shallow depth sub like an earthquake or pioneers TS series, you might have a bit more felxibility, but I think your gonna be limited to the trunk without major fabrication. You could always get rid of your spare tire and put the sub down there.

Chances are you are going to have to put it in the trunk. I have 2 10" subs in the trunk in one box with the amp mounted on the roof of the trunk and there really is no other place to put them. Except for MTX makes a think called the thunderform or something like that and it puts a sub on the edge of the trunk kinda out of the way. Try looking into that?

Say, has anybody in here ever put theirs under the rear seats? That would be nice so trunk space isn't compromised any more than it is, especially in a convertible car.

not a good idea to put under the seat. the amp generates heat that needs to ventilate and trapped hot air isn't good for the amp especially during summer time

there is hardly enough space under the back seat for an extra french fry or two. There is enough space under the passenger seat for a 6 piece chicken mcnugget box. If you think you can get enough airspace or any sub bigger then 2" then I dare you to try, double dog infact.........
