I always go with pioneer stereo equipment, haven't had any problems yet, always satisfied with the quality as well

Pioneer or Kenwood are the goto these days. for headunits.

for speakers... there are tons of options, the best best is to listen to as many as possible and let your ears decide what sounds the best to you.

Good luck.

LOVE my 2010 Kenwood X994. All the goodies (everything ready and built in BT), easy to use, and a great value.

I stopped using Pioneer head units due to their pico fuse issues. When it snaps, you will know due to all the amplified whine that will be coming through your speakers.
