Default double din into a classic ?

Curious, has anyone ever tried putting a double din after market headunit into a classic mustang? Obviously there would be some kind of modification. Got pics?

Would most likely have to butcher the dash metal, which is a "no no". I believe many classic owners hide their stereo in the glovebox...

I have seen some tastefully built consols that did the job.

I hacked my dash for a single din and I'm sure you could do the same for a double din. I figure I will never sell the car and I would prefer a din spot in the dash that doesn't interfere with the possiblity of adding underdash A/C in the future.

I originally had mine in the glovboxe, but didn't like it. Such a pain to change inputs manually or have to hold a remote.

I beleive the curvature on the radio facing would make it difficult to make a double din look good without a little bondo.
