shaker 500 no radio reception?

shaker 500 no radio reception?
i have a 2007 gt with the shaker 500 system and i was wondering how to take out the head unit and see if the antenna plug came loose or unpluged?
i dont get any radio stations anymore. i had the shorty antenna on and it randomly quit getting stations so i switched to the stock antenna and i still cant pick any of them up?
also i have done some researching and have found that you have to take out the whole center piece between the seats but do you hav to have the U tool to remove the system?
