Upgrading speakers in 03 gt... I have an aftermarket head unit
Do i just need new speakers that fit since i have an aftermarket head unit allready? I have a pioneer DEH p5200HD http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Pioneer+...&skuId=9760797
and i used to have a mach 460 head unit and i still have the amp and speakers from that. The speakers cant handle this head unit when turned up .. especially the front tweeters. What would i need to do to get better speakers? Just replace them with superior parts? Anything special i would have to do because i have a 460 set up other than the head unit?

Best speakers you can get are the focal utopia. nothing compares. You need a pretty good amp to push these though. You can find the olfder generation of utopias on ebay from time to time. The new generation are priced out of this world. something like $3000 a set. you can get a used pair of the older model utopias for $500 or less and you get your moneys worth with their performance.
