Pioneer Avic-x920BT with SYNC?
Hey guys,
402a spec with Shaker 500 and obviously sync. no extra options. Didnt get the comfort package, electronics package or anything. I'm wanting to install a Pioneer Avic-x920BT. I know there is a $250 harness I can buy that retains sync, but what exactly will i be losing with sync? Is it worth it to get the harness?
What all is controlled by sync?

Do yourself a favor and get the PAC unit that you're referencing here. I don't think the stock radios, any, are standard double-din openings. You will not only need this kit to retain SYNC, but have a standard mount opening for the AVIC-X920BT.
I'm not sure how you think you can get away without it aside from fabricating the opening yourself.

thats just it... im a noob to the mustang world and Ford in general. I dont know what all sync controls. If its just BT/nav/etc, thats fine i can lose it, because the new headunit has all that. Or do i have to have sync to control the shaker 500??
