Hey All; Thanks for your input. I have checked you tube and found how to remove the radio, but not how to fix it. My Shaker 500 CD player does not work at all. When I open or close a door ( ignition off) it lights up "CD ERROR" . Sometimes you can hear the motor run as if it is moving from slot to slot; it would run the battery down if I stored the car for a few months. Also, you can't put a CD into the player anymore. I don't care that much about the CD player, but if I can fix it myself or for a reasonable fee I would do it. I am trying to keep this radio mainly for my Sirius account # registered to this radio.

I know this response is a few months late but there is a repair shop on eBay that will fix the Shaker 500 cd error. You buy the repair and send them your radio. They fix it and return it to you.
