Default Replacing Mach 460 head unit

2004 Convertible
CD does not work. What do i have to do to replace it? Everything else works great.
Replaced one in an '02, one of the amps was missing, so we rewired and replaced all speakers. Did away with all the 460. What is the best way to fix this?

Default

Heres a short video telling how to wire up an aftermarket stereo so that the mach 460 speakers and amps will still work. I did this in my 04 and it works. This will work on a 2003 or 2004 0nly.

Default aftermarket stereo solution

The metra harness is sold by crutchfield and good car stereo shops. if anybodys harness says it will fit an 00 -04 mustang.
Rest assured it is the wrong harness. The 00 - 02 mach 460 harness is different from the 03-04 harness.
One size does NOT fit all. If you find a kit with just one plug. Rest assured it is the wrong harness.

So how do I know this?

I bought 3 wrong harness kits before I bought the right one !!! I installed a pioneer stereo in my 2004 stang and It sounds great with all the factory amps and subs working.

PS: I did not spend any time talking about the re-assembly in the previous post video because I just wanted to address the proper wiring, which seems to be the main problem when installing an aftermarket stereo with your mach 460 speaker system.

I figured if you can take it apart, you can put it back together.

I hope this was helpful.
