well took off door panel today and thought my speaker was just rattling and nope found out its blown. Its not always bad just when i turn it up the base makes them rattle or sound like ****. I only have the base set in the middle its not even way up. My system is stock 460 so was wondering if i should just throw a factory replacemnt on back in or what a good replacement would be and just yank the two front ones and throw some new better ones in?

never found a good replacement for it because it is an 8 ohm 5 x 7 woofer. Closest I think I ever heard was a dual 4 ohm 6.5 version that could fit but its been a while. If you have replaced the deck, you can bypass the stock amps and just put a fullrange speaker there and run it off the deck power no problem.

Samething happened to me. Went with Alpine Type-R to keep up with wattage (around 100watts/rms). Year later ended up gutting the entire sound system. Just a heads up, you will LOSE a lot of low end sound, but gain mid-range detail... It's a 'some hate it or some love it' scenario
