I have a a shaker 500 in my car now. I'd like to get a HU that I can use my ipod with, as well as Sirius. Will I benefit overall sound, just upgrading the HU alone and not speakers for now? Or will it sound, not so hot?

i just got done putting a Pioneer SPH-DA01 (App radio) in my Stang. The only thing I'm kinda pissed about is that it doesn't have an AUX input. So now I have to use the FM modulator in my Stilletto2. I could pay the extra 2 bucks a month and get Sirius on my Iphone but they get enough of my money already.

I just put a HU, Amp and Subs and I think it made the speakers sound better. With a head unit you can control the bass as well so the 8" door subs hit harder or softer depending on what you set it to.

oops! I forgot I had an FM direct adapter. Just finished hooking it up and the Sirius is coming threw crystal clear now!
