Default Aftermarket head unit with mach sound system

I have an 03 v6 mustang with the mach sound system. It doesn't say whether its a mach 1000 nor mach 460. I wanted to buy a detachable aftermarket head unit and I wanted to know whether its compatible with my factory sound system. I also wanted to know if there would be any sound issues with the system and head unit.

I was looking at this head unit for my car: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/JVC+-+6....&skuId=4708685

Thanks!

same car as yours.
My local installer stereo store suggested a wiring harness and single din adapter.

I dont think this is the exact product, but it allows you to simply plug your new stereo in, no soldering what so ever.
