2011 GT Shaker 500 amp wire harness
I am trying to figure out if there is an adapter connector for the sub amp wires. I want to remove the 2 sub amps (by the drivers feet) and put a new amp in that same location. I am looking for an adapter so i can clip into the existing amp wire harness and then plug into the new amp. I realize that it wont work for the power wires(they wouldnt supply enough power to power the system). So im guessing it would look like an adapter on one end and free wires on the other end. This would save me from cutting wires, and or re-routing wires.
I have an after-market amp in the trrunk for the door speakers, and new speakers. I just ordered 2 Pioneer TS-SW841d's for the door subs.
Also if anyone else has put an amp in that location can you give me any advise on installing it and what type or brand you used.
Lastly im going to hook up an equalizer to help with the poor quality of the factory radio. Has anyone tried this and if so where did they put it. Im wanting to put it in the glovebox.
