Looking to replace speakers in my 2013. I just can't stand to listen to them anymore. I've got the base audio /w tech package and I'm happy with the features and would like to not have to replace my head unit if I can avoid it.

I've done some car audio before... that said it's been a few years.

What I want to know is does the base head unit have a built in amp out either rca or via a harness attachment. And how much power is the stock head putting out to them tin can speakers.

Speakers I'm looking at the pioneer 4 ways. (Pioneer TS-A6882R) and matching rounds in the door assuming they car handle the size of the larger magnets.

the stock HU doesn't put much out, and it doesn't have any easy way to hook up to an amp unless you get an amp with a speaker level input, or a high to low level converter.
I think the door speakers are still on a small plastic mount that moves them away from the door by a few inches, mainly to make sure the speakers don't interfere with the amp. you can take that off and make your own if your speakers don't fit how you want them to. I did that with a focal component 6.5 speaker, the tweeter I mounted next to it and drilled a few holes out to match the grill in the door.
