Can I run aftermarket amp / door speakers and use original mach460 wiring?
I am looking to wire up an aftermarket headunit / deck, amp and door speakers in my 2000 GT.
I am going to remove the Mach 460 speakers and amp rack, however I would like to splice into the Mach 460 wiring from the trunk and use it to run the signal from the amp in the trunk, to the door speakers.
Is this possible? This way I can avoid running new wires into the door speakers.

Hi Kingrukus. I would contact Crutchfield. They have all the adapters that will work with the Mach System. You can use the original speaker wires and tap into them. Myself, I had a shop install a JVC-KW900BT unit, and two Alpine Amps and Speakers with Sub. I wouldn't use the Speaker Lines from the Head Unit. Get one with Pre-Outs for best sound quality. The reason I chose the JVC was, it was all about the SOUND. It has 6, 5 Volt Pre-outs and many Audio adjustments. I'm still trying to figure out all this unit can do. And I wasn't into a DVD Player. Still contact Crutchfield FIRST. Hope this helps.

You should be fine using the stock wires unless you are pushing a ton of power to the door speakers. I did that by running the rca wires to the amp from the HU, then the speaker wires(make sure to label them on both ends) and connecting them to the stock wires. then just splicing off of them to connect the speakers in the door.
