Default 2010 GT Convert Prem Speaker Upgrade Video

Finally found the Audio Video Section. My factory Drivers side door speaker finally bit the dust. I googled everything everywhere mustang this and that. I ended finding a nice deal on some Kenwood 6X8's

And I documented my install on YouTube for others who are thinking about doing the same and what to expect.

Thanks again !!!

One of the easiest and best upgrades to the car is door speakers. The rear deck lid ones...sucks doing those. Doesnt help being a big guy crammed in the back of the coupe and getting to the screws closest to the glass. Be careful pulling those too because the magnets tend to make it a little rough when they grab the sheet metal and last thing you want to do is scratch your back glass pulling the speaker magnet off the body.

The sound difference is amazing. I now need to look into the factory subs to see how to change those to something of quality and the rear speakers will be next.

Thanks for the video bro. This is going to help me tremendously with my door install. I won't be doing any changes to the speaker like you did but just seeing someone do first is going to do wonders. Im going with two pair of rockford fosgate punch series 6x8's for the doors and back deck. I'll take audio before and after doing the doors, and the rear deck to give everyone an idea of the sound difference. Thanks again!

By any chance have you done the rear speakers? I've already taken out my rear interior before to install a styling bar so I have faith in myself to complete the job. Just curious if the rear speakers being replaced will have as great of an impact as the front ones did. I'm going to keep my door subs which are factory.

If anyone is thinking about replacing the rear speakers..........well it makes one hell of a big improvement. Did both sides in 1/2 hour. Super easy to do. Don't bother with taking out the rear seats, all you have to do is take the top panel off and the upper half of each side panel. Simple plug and play with the wire adapters. BIG sound improvement. Glad I did it. Total cost $100.00.

Red, which speakers did you go with for the rears?
If aftermarket, did you buy the adapter to plug them in?
