Exclamation 2002 Shaker 500 implementation?

Hey y'all, I've poked around these forums before and everyone seems to be so helpful so I decided to ask here. I have a 2002 Coupe and I'm not satisfied with the speakers I have. My mom has a 2012 with the shaker 500 and I love the bass that comes from the door subs. I have 2 12's in the trunk that I plan on replacing so they face forwards, but I was wondering if it was possible to custom fit an 8 inch sub in the door of the 2002 as well as the 6x7 or whatever it was? Has anyone attempted this? Maybe that's not necessary, if someone can help me figure out why when I turn up my music to hear my subs the vocals(treble if you will) get really scratchy and crappy sounding. Is that because I'm pushing them too hard? I barely hear anything coming out of the front speakers by the way, if anything at all. I think the previous owner had a "professional" install it, and I remember a shop wanted to disable my mom's door speakers when we inquired about extra subs. So is it possible they're disabled? Its definitely not the Mach 460 or whatever system. Any extra info is able to be provided and I'm open to any help! Thanks guys.

you're driving your main channels into clipping; and if you get to that point and you "can't hear" two 12" subs then something's seriously wrong with how the subwoofers/amps are installed. Can you tell us what you have installed and how it's connected?

Well I mean they hit anywhere from 20-50 honestly but I love bass so I usually run around 38-41 so I can get good bass since the subs face into the trunk. Soon I am going to build an "in" facing box.

And when I got the car it had some old Clarion stereo installed with RCA outputs with cords on them, so obviously the previous owner had subs though I only found evidence of a single amp. I replaced that Clarion with a newer Clarion with aux input on the front for my phone. I wired it in with the old power wire on the battery, two reliable grounds(one on each amp since I have two but I don't think I've specified that yet) and the ground/rca cords from the HU. I believe the subs are slightly quieter than they were in the 2012 with the stock HU. Could it be that they are directly plugged into the HU, since in the 2012 I had to splice in a converter to the rear speaker wires under the dash? Thanks for the reply by the way.

Also my buddy said its possible that the door speakers are blown since they barely get any sound out. I'm gonna see about checking them out tomorrow.
