Default cai question

i bought a K&N intake for my car and i have had many problems with it so i will be returning it......i am thinking about buying a MAC cai now....so i was wondering if i am not happy with the mac is it returnable...thank you

Refunds are based on defects..like it not fitting or working well. Just because you don't 'like it' wouldn't be a reason for a refund

the K&N made my car run like crap so thats why im returning it....if the mac works correctly i would not need to return it

Don't worry man. The MAC will cause no problems. You're not the first person to experiance problems with the K&N, I don't remember the exact reason, but there is defect with it that causes it to have problems with some sixers. I've known people that had them with no problems, then there are others, such as yourself, where it just doesn't work out right. The MAC has none of those problems as long as it's installed correctly, and that's just a matter of making sure all the hoses are tight, and that all the sensors are hooked back up.

do any of you know if when u install the mac cai do u need to reuse the little silver mass air flow screen

Yes you do, its not safe if you remove it as things can get in and fly into your internals and bye bye engine

the reason im thinking about returning the K&N is because it said i didnt need to reuse the screen but without it my car ran like crap......but i damaged the screen and when i called ford to get a new one they said it would cost $80thats y i was hopeing the mac wouldnt need the screen
