Default True Blue -- You are correct

03super(loser)cobra should be banned -- even though he may
not agree that the BULLITT'S are a better car than his cobra. He doesn't
need to use that language in the forums. I would almost assume
he's probably some teenager that drives his dad's cobra.

you are a wee bit off.

the 2010 Mustang is a slightly worked over 05-09. In terms of performance, it has +15 HP and that is about it.

It's when you get the Track Pack #1 that the 2010 becomes Bullitt-ish.
Slightly better shocks, 3.73 gears.

For the 2010 to really be as good as, or better than a Bullitt, it has to have the Track Pack #2 which is due later this year.

A stock 2010 GT with 3.73's against a stock Bullitt...the 2010 will get owned. The Suspension on the Bullitt is so much better...and the brakes as well.

Traction might be an issue with the bullitt though off the line since the GT premium gets way way better tires & they are wider.

It would be interesting. But I'd place money on the Bullitt. Especially if the drivers are of equal talent.

what small differences?

a "normal" 2010 GT is worlds apart from a 08/09 Bullitt

A 2010 GT w/ Track Pack 2...that is when it basically comes down to Drivers.
biggest difference between Track Pack 2 from Bullitt is the diameter of the Sway Bar, and the Track Pack has a little bit more aggressive spring rates

I wouldn't put money down on a race between the 2. Track Pack 2 really evens things up

i could be wrong but i heard it was the combination of the twin 57mm throttle bodies the plenum and the intake manifold along with the different exhaust and a slightly different tune on the computer. (also heard the hp numbers were off they were somewhere around 275 instead of the 265 that was listed but who knows its all hearsay in my opinion untill you dyno it)

Not rumor. Straight from Scott Hoag who owns MRT and was project team leader for the Bullitt and the Mach.

According to Scott, after the 1999 Cobra fiasco with the HP ratings, Ford changed the way they advertised the figures. They began to publish lower HP ratings after that. They couldn't change the 260 hp figures for the GT's or that would cause an uproar but they did publish lower figures for the Bullitt and then later the Mach 1. That's why early on the Bullitt was supposed to be 275 hp but was later published lower. They couldn't afford more bad publicity like they got over the Cobra. Take it for what its worth but this came directly from a man who would know.

Scott and i had a similar conversation a while back (i live 5 miles from their shop) and he basically told me the same thing. He also said that with bolt ons there isn't much difference, which i can personally confirm with my buddy's full bolt on 01 Bullitt.
