My 2001 Bullitt has been off the road for nearly two weeks due to the failure of a small plastic tee fitting in one of the heater core hoses. Unfortunately this seems to be a Bullitt only part and after visits to two Ford dealerships I'm finding they cannot repair the car since Ford appears to have quietly discontinued many Bullitt specific parts back in May of 2008. All the dealers can suggest is I look for a generic tee fitting, however this is an unusual tee in that the third tube of the tee is only 1/4", whereas the other two are 5/8". Although I've spent hours seaching parts stores and searching on-line and come up with nothing. I can't even provide the part number of the part since it's not in the Ford database anymore. Does anyone have a source for discontinued Bullitt parts?
I disappointed that Ford has decided not to source parts for the Bullitt after less than 7 years, but that's the way it is, and that will definitely influence whether I buy another Ford specialty product.
Thanks,
Bob

Thanks for the pointer to Late Model Restorations, and although they didn't have the part I needed, they did have another part I was looking for.
Also, I believe I've solved the problem of the Tee fitting with an Auto Meter accessory, a 5/8" hose adapter with a 1/8" NPT threaded opening intended for a temperature gauge sender, that will accept a hose barb fitting instead.
Just browsing through here and saw this. How stupid. A while back we almost bought a 99 Cobra, while looking they also had a Bullitt. They are nice cars. I cannot believe Ford is no longer making parts for them. Thats BS.
i was trying to get some 03-04 cobra parts from 3 diffrent ford dealers here and was told they couldnt get any cobra speicfic parts any more i thought it would happen but not this soon.

Local ADVANCE auto has the fitting you needed, no problem. Yes, Ford has discontinued many parts including the '96-'98 Cobra's for the most part. I have found that www.tousleyford.com is very helpful and thewy charge only 10% over their cost. i hacve gotten solenoids for half of what the local dealer gets. Call 1-800-328-9552, ask for Steve and please let him knoiw Mark Sweet recommended them. They mostly give the discount to modularford members but they don't ask. I have an SVO intake on my '99 GT and parts for that are unavailable also. Some can find the intake but the install kit is what is hard to find. I had to use Bullitt rails and they were $233. still costly but a lot lwess than list. Many parts are out there but local dealers are usually not very ambitious, not mine anyways. Mark
this is not a generic piece that any auto store will carry, the two main intlets are 5/8in diameter and then there is a 1/4 inlet on top, i have been to autozones and pepboys and none of them carry the parts that i needed.
