I may need some more info on your condition but, a similar thing happened to me. Ill explain my previous condition and you tell me if it is similar or not. Sometimes It would seem as if I had my foot ever so gently on the pedal and my RPMs would slowly increase. I could be stopped at a red light and my RPMs would slowly climb or very very slowly decline back to normal idle speed. Id notice when i shifted gears, when i pushed in my clutch....instead of dropping RPM, it climbed sometimes like I had my foot on the gas. Turns out my TPS was on its way out. I got a new one put in and took care of everything. Fairly inexpensive fix, 75-80 bucks.
