Default will not cruise

Help.......couple of weeks ago i got a CEL or Service engine soon light....Before the light came on i noticed that once in cruising gear 4th or 5th if i were to accelerate it felt it was missing.(misfiring) I'm able to get up to speed with no problem......1st up to 3k rpms....2nd...3rd....but if the RPMs are at 1000 and accelerate it reels like a misfire. Sure enough the light came on and stayed on. Took to my buddy to scan it and it was the # 4 misfiring. I replaced the coil and the plug just in case and its fine. But now after two weeks it seems to do the same thing but no Service engine light. Its cold here in Chicago and i will eventually do the other seven plugs. The # 4 plug / coil was wet from antifreeze. Above #4 sits a tee that has been leaking and now fix. Is it possible that all my coils/plugs are starting to go bad? I'm at 70k....

clean your air filter/MAF, they could be clogged, also clean out your throttle body. I had that same retarded T fitting go out, howd you fix yours?? Chances are thats still leaking coolant into your cylinder.

I ended up replacing 4 of the coils before mine quit doing that. I never got the CEL though at all.

If you take it to Ford, they have a tester that can tell you which COPS aren't up to standard. They found 4 on mine that were weak, replaced them and it's been running great since.

Picked up a tee 3/4 x 3/4 x 3/8 on line. Made by HELP part # 47112 heater hose tee. Tee cost 4.99 shipping 5.99 but i needed it.
I cleaned out the MAF/air in August and double checked when i had it apart when replacing the tee.

So far no leaks put 100 miles on.

Thank you,
I'm planning to do all 7 when it gets warmer. I was thinking OEM but now thinking MSD cause I'm using NGK iridium plugs.

There's no gain with aftermarket coils, so I'd go with whichever is cheaper.

go with OEM, guarenteed to work that way, I've also heard if your are stock, you should stay with stock plugs as well. I just found a site here in Calif. that has T's for v8 swaps, gave them my size, we'll see if this aluminum part is better than the fabbed part I have.

Thanks,
I will stick with stock.........found them cheap .....http://www.nationalfleetparts.com/Co...coil-pack.aspx

Companies love to make money which i don't disagree but, DG 508 coil is used in many applications. Why if the part is used for a MUSTANG now is about 20-30 more?

Oh i know cause they can....... lol
