I now own a Bullitt, and here's my two cents...
I recently got the opportunity to own a Bullitt, and I had to share my story.
It was November 13th, and I was car shopping for something I knew I could enjoy. I had owned a V6 '87 Firebird, a 4 banger '93 Fox body, and a turbocharged '05 VW Jetta GLI. It was time for something new. I checked around and kept my options open, looking into little tuners to turn drift car, trucks, and other muscle cars. Me and my mechanic friend had to have checked over 10 cars in one day. Then we came across an ad on Craigslist for a 2001 Bullitt. Needless to say, I was pretty weary of it, thinking anyone could just say, "Oh, I got a Bullitt lol." and make us drive 2 hours to realize it was just a GT, or even worse, a V6. But, we took the risk. We drove two hours and met up with the guy at his garage. He did full paint and body work, and he was in the middle of redoing a bumper which looked OEM painted. This dude knew his stuff. We checked the car up and down, and it passed every identifier for a Bullitt. Now, bash me if you want, but this is my first 5 speed. However, I've come to see that this Bullitt is extremely forgiving. The only other 5 speed I've driven is my friends 2013 WRX, but I'm catching on quickly.
I have to say with certainty the '01 Bullitt #3461 is by far one of the most fun cars I've driven and I can't wait to see what the future holds for both me and my Bullitt.
The night I bought it. They weren't staggered rims, they were normal five shooters.
Picture with the new rims last night.
