There is a guy in Downy I have taken my car to. He just installed a McLeod twin disc clutch and did a real good job. He is suppose to be a real good tuner as wall. I am thinking of putting a whipple on my car and will take to him. Real nice guy. Greg at RET sorry this got put in twice for some reason

Anybody have a good transmission shop in the L.A./SFV/Ventura area? I've used Champion Transmission in Thousand Oaks before and they were great for my Crown Vic, but I'm just wondering if there's anyone more Mustang-specific.
I have the dreaded 2-3 slip...

Mechanics?
Only a fool lets a mechanic work on a auto requiring 5,000 engineers to design. I buy my Fords new, and Ford never sees them again. I have 6 Fords: 65 Bird, 99 Mountaineer, 99 Mercruiser, 2003 5Ton RV 10 cylinder, 2006 Mustang, and 2011 Escape Hybrid.
Each is best left to my care. I have driven fords to 790,000 on one.
The little lady that bought a 1960 Ford Falcon and drove to 500,000 miles and sold because of giving up her license is my type of person.
All the hot heads that crave speed should just jump out an airplane and feel it, of course with a parachute.
I have raced cars and found it very fun to use a cheap Ford to blow BMWs, Porsche, Ferrarri, Jaqs, and most everything off the road. Ford always pays attention to the fact that weight goes forward and distrubutes it 57 % front and 43% rear. Results in steering forward versus backwards in spins.
NO comments from to anyone out there please; if you havent learned you dont deserve it. Besides I'm $375/hour when selling self and time.

Does anyone know of good mechanics around Santa Monica/El Segundo or pretty much anywhere around the Los Angeles coast up a little north of Long Beach? I live in Santa Monica and I really don't want to go too far if I need a little quick fix or have to walk/bus/cycle to pick up my car.
