I'm sure everyone in the world knew about this except for me, but here it is anyway...A friend of mine told me about this little gem so I checked it out on the ride home today.

Unless you're tuned for a higher octane, don't bother running anything higher than what your OM states. IIRC, the 5.0 can get some bang from up to 93 octane with the stock tune but nothing like what it would make on the same octane with a custom tune.

BTW, your gas prices are up the azz ridiculous.

First to OP - where in Cali is that? I found a place in Covina (right off the 10 fwy) that has 100 oct but its like 10 bucks a gallon.

And the others - Welcome to Cali. Gas prices are almost the highest in the nation for no GodDang reason.

Also the names seem to be backwards from my point of view. Race should be 100, and reverse the supremes. Seems ultra should be the highest

Sunol is southeast San Francisco Bay Area between Fremont and Pleasanton.

Best bet though is to convert to E85, more stations and you can almost drive between Socal & Norcal without carrying a bunch of gas tanks.

Super late here, but if anyone needs 100 octane, there's a 76 in Redwood City that has it at the pump. I used to fill up my Evo there before I went to the track.
